Essential Information

VISA INFORMATION NEPAL

A visa for Nepal can be obtained on arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and at border entry points in Kakadvitta, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Gaddachowki on the Nepal-India border and Kodari on the Nepal-China border.

Outside of Nepal, a visa can also be obtained at the nearest Nepal Embassy or Diplomatic Mission. I suggest you obtain visas on-line before you leave your country which will speed up things up on arrival in Nepal.

To renew a visa you can go to the Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan, Kathmandu.

Visa can be obtained only through payment of cash in the following currency: Euro, Swiss Franc, Pound Sterling, US Dollar, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Singapore Dollar, and Japanese Yen.

Credit card, Indian currency and Nepali currency are not accepted as payment of visa fee

Passport/Visa.

You must carry a valid passport and have obtained all the appropriate visas. Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. We cannot be held responsible for your visa to Nepal. No refunds will be made in the event of your visa being refused. The visa can be obtained at the airport upon arrival or apply online. Health

It is important to have comprehensive health insurance. Visit your doctor at least 6 weeks prior to your travel to find out about recommended vaccinations or medication. Although this is not a “trekking “route, we recommend that the traveler should be relatively fit as you need to climb some steep steps to many temples and villages. You must take extra precautions if you have health issues.

The travelers are also advised to take extra precautions on food and water in Nepal. It is recommended to carry small hand sanitiser and being careful with food and drinking water, only drink bottled water including cleaning teeth. The Lonely Planet Guide on Nepal gives excellent advice on precautions beforehand and a medical kit checklist, particularly if you are never been to Nepal or India before.

Money

The Rupees is the currency of Nepal. ATMs and money exchange facilities will be widely available and credit/debit card can be used at additional cost of 3 – 4% to your bill. Estimate of spending including meals and drinks is around $30 – $40 per day depending where you eat. It is recommended to have local currency handy for all the local purchases/expenditure.

Tipping

It is normal practice to tip the drivers, local guides, porters, villagers and others. For travelers’ convenience, we will pre-determined the amount and dispenses all the tips as appropriate as we travel. Thus, the tips will be included in this tour for the travelers.

Food

The tour is included accommodation with breakfast in the quoted price. Nevertheless, the Trip to Tang Ting village and Chitwan safari includes all meals; otherwise you will need to pay for lunch, dinner and any other drinks. Water is provided free on bus throughout the journey.

While on the tour we intend to eat as a group in local run restaurants which will give you the chance to taste the native cuisine. However, you are free to eat at a restaurant of your choice when such a choice is available.

We request all the travelers to accept your health condition and take sensible precautions when eating out, especially with food or dietary issues and manage the condition. We also suggest to bring your own special food if you have health issues ie gluten free or food allergies. We do try our best to inform or liaise with agencies concern.

Telecommunication

It is recommended that you bring a mobile phone/tablet that you can use with a local sim card which can be purchased at the airport on arrival, providing your passport and a photo. Wifi will be available in most of the hotels.

What camera and accessories to bring

We will mostly taking photography of people, ancient architectural temples and palaces, culture and heritage, landscapes and wildlife.  We recommend bringing your best two cameras as this will minimise having to change lens.  We recommend the following:

  • Plenty of memory cards and portable hard drive

Assumption of risk

We understand that during the course of the trip, certain risks and dangers may occur.  The traveler/photographer agrees to assume all risks associated with the journey, and agrees that no liability will be attached to the company or its outfitters, employees or agents, or to any member of the tour group in respect to death, personal injury, illness or delay of traveler, or for any loss or damage to the property of the traveler during the course of the trip, however caused.

Travel Insurance

It is a condition while booking the tour with us that all the travelers must be protected by insurance themselves that covers cancellation, accidents, health, emergency evacuation, and loss of items, theft of or damage to baggage,  personal effects and liabilities  with a recommended minimum coverage of US$ 200,000 for each of the categories of cover.

All costs for Emergency evacuation must be paid in cash in Nepal unless an insurance company has agreed to pay the costs on your behalf.

Publicity

You agree that we may use images (photographs) of you taken during the trip without recourse to you and without compensation to you, for publicity and promotion purpose only whatever medium it chooses.

Privacy

We collect information from you to making a booking.  No private or personal information that you supply to us when making a booking will be disclosed for any other purpose.

Supplement Charge

This tour is limited to 6 or 8 person only. On our tour packages, rooms or tents are provided in twin sharing basis.  Thus, single supplement charge will be imposed to client who does not have another tour participant to share room/tent with.

Amendment of Tour Cost

We reserve the right to revise pricing rate posted at our website/display/post, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors that are beyond our control, for instance exchange rate, government action/policy etc.  However, we put forth effort to keep on the present rate.

Unforeseen Circumstances

We cancel your trip before departure due to unforeseen circumstances like war, strikes, natural disasters, conflict, unfavorable climate etc.  Alternatively refer you to next trip of a similar standard or refund your money.

However, if any of these circumstances occurs while travelling, the costs to manage the organisation of tour (overnight stays/meals/guides/transport etc) are entirely anticipated by us.  This implies that for any events due to unforeseeable circumstances, health reasons or adverse weather conditions, should stop the tour and returning to Kathmandu in advance, you will also have to bear the full cost as if you had participate to the full trip.

Client is Responsible

A tour guide who represents the tour deserves all authority during your tours.  If you commit any unlawful act and all matter likely to affect the safety or well-being of any person participating in the trip or you fail to comply with the decision made by a tour leader or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, you are compelled to leave the tour immediately. We may also elect not to carry on any future trips booked.  No refund will be made in such case.

You must at all times comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of country, accordance with our responsible travel guide lines and respective Foreign Travel Advice.

Impact on Your Journey

We put our every effort to ensure comfortable and smooth journey as possible nevertheless, sometimes the traveler should understand the western standards are not met and we cannot afford such facilities.  You appreciate and acknowledge that the nature of this type of travel requires considerable flexibility and you should allow for alternatives.  It is understood that the route, schedules, itineraries, amenities and mode of transport may be subject to alternation without prior notice due to local circumstances or events.   The travelers are advised to be patience and prepare for such situations.

Complaints

If you have any subject of complaint about the tour, you must inform us at the earliest and provide opportunity to correct him/her at once.
